Mandolyn Vendela: “Our Brains, the Self Aware Animal”
As the concept of neuroplacticity reaches mainstream science, the prevailing theory is that the brain is in a continual state of change and adaptation. With new research focusing on utilizing the ‘plastic’ nature of the brain by consciously retraining it, with such methods as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, awareness, emotional regulation, and happiness are intrinsically within your control. This presentation will discuss the brain objectively, and the fascinating research of mindfulness and its capabilities.
