Participants will learn more about their field of interest and new trends of the industry. The Career Expo will showcase the 16 Career Clusters and the many careers and job opportunities that each cluster has to offer. The Career Clusters will help participants enhance the link between the knowledge they acquire in school and the skills they need to pursue their dreams. Mandolyn Vendela: “Our Brains, the Self Aware Animal”
As the concept of neuroplacticity reaches mainstream science, the prevailing theory is that the brain is in a continual state of change and adaptation. With new research focusing on utilizing the ‘plastic’ nature of the brain by consciously retraining it, with such methods as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, awareness, emotional regulation, and happiness are intrinsically within your control. This presentation will discuss the brain objectively, and the fascinating research of mindfulness and its capabilities.
