Capital Campaigns
The Sheridan College Foundation is a working board and the board members work to support Sheridan College. Sheridan College has adopted an ambitious strategic direction that calls for increased enrollment and facility upgrades and expansions to meet the academic and student life needs. In response to and in support of Sheridan College’s strategic plan and facility needs, the Sheridan College Foundation, both board members and staff members, are actively working on no less than five campaigns in addition to the partially completed Edward A. Whitney Academic Center.
The three major campaigns include the Large Animal Science Facility chaired by Karen Ferguson, the Thorne-Rider Student Center chaired by Anthony Spiegelberg, and the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center, a joint project with the WYO Theater, which is co-chaired by Kandi Davis. Additionally, Sheridan College Foundation staff members are working with community volunteers on projects to place an Allosaurus in the new Edward A. Whitney Academic Center and honor veterans with the Veterans Plaza at the entrance to Sheridan College’s main campus.
