This scholarship was established in 2010 to honor the memory of Ana Ivanovna Olson, a loving daughter and sister and a friend to many. Ana’s closest friends, Paige Miller, Kirsty MacMillan and Shelby MacMillan raised most of the seed money for this scholarship to honor their friend and classmate from Tongue River High School, class of 2010. Ana was born in Russia and adopted by her Wyoming family when she was 9 years old. Ana was caring, intelligent, fearless, and steadfast and loved her 4-H animals. She excelled in raising swine and one day hoped to graduate from Sheridan College with both a nursing degree and an agriculture degree so that she could always raise swine commercially. Ana passed away in 2009 during the summer before her senior year at Tongue River High, due to complications from heart surgery. This scholarship will be awarded preferentially to graduates of Tongue River High School with a G.P.A. of 3.0 or above, and majoring in either nursing or agricultural science.
