Bequests

A bequest to Sheridan College is a powerful expression of your faith in the future of the College. An estate gift provides significant future support to Sheridan College. You can provide for the College in your will or in a trust. The full value of a bequest is deductible for federal estate tax purposes, and there is no limit to the size of a bequest.

If you would like to join classmates, friends of the College and other benefactors by making a bequest, simply include the following language in your will or trust:

I, hereby give to Sheridan College Foundation, a Wyoming educational, charitable corporation, with a tax identification number 83-6006226 (hereinafter referred to as “SCF”), an educational institution located at Griffith Memorial Building, Suite 150 – P.O. Box 6328, Sheridan, WY 82801 the following described property: __________________________ OR the sum of: $__________________________ OR percent (____________%) of the residue of my estate.

It can be restricted (to be used for a specific purpose) or unrestricted (to be used for general purposes at the college). All assets, including cash, securities, real estate and tangible personal property, may be transferred to Sheridan College Foundation through your estate. You may also wish to consider naming the College as the beneficiary of your qualified retirement plan or a life insurance policy.

If you are considering a bequest to Sheridan College please contact the Foundation office. We can work with you or your adviser to document the intent of your gift, assuring your wishes for the gift are fulfilled. We do suggest that you consult a tax adviser for the finer details of a gift of this nature.
